During the retreat you’ll be surrounded by stunning landscapes, fresh air and open space, starry nights, delicious Moroccan food and more. The atmosphere will help you rest and recharge deeply. This retreat is limited to 16 students so sign up early.
Our goal is to create a nourishing and restorative experience for you. If camping in the Sahara is not for you contact us about only joining the first 6 nights at Irocha.

About Irocha:
We will spend the first 7 nights at Irocha, which means “rock” in the Amazigh (Berber) language. Irocha is a beautiful venue built in the traditional Berber style and has an extremely calm and grounding energy.
After breakfast on Monday, April 6th we will head south to the edge of the Sahara desert. The drive is about 5 hours. After a rest break and lunch we will go into the desert to our camp. We will sleep for 3 nights sleeping under the stars and experience nomadic life in the Sahara.
On April 9th we will return to Irocha. The retreat ends on Saturday the 11th after breakfast. We will arrange a shared transport to Marrakech.
Daily Schedule:
- 8 – 8:30 AM Meditation and Pranayama
- 8:30 – 10:30 AM: Mysore class
- 11 AM: Big Brunch
- Free time until 2pm
- Different afternoon outings to explore the area and workshops.
- 7 PM: Dinner
Workshop topics will vary depending on the group. Some examples are: Breathing and Bandhas, the Vinyasa, inversions & arm balances, alignment, Yin yoga and more.
Cost:
March 30 to April 11 (12 nights)
(includes camping in the Sahara for 3 nights)
- Single room with en suite bathroom: 2195 Euros.
- Double room with en suite bathroom: 1795 Euros.
March 30th to April 6 (7 nights)
(does not include the Sahara trip)
- Single room with en suite bathroom: 1275 Euros.
- Double room with en suite bathroom: 895 Euros.
All of the above prices are in EUROS and include the lodging, meals, yoga classes & workshops. The only extra cost is getting to/from Irocha and your flights to Morocco.
All transport and costs during the Sahara trip are included with your booking. In the Sahara everyone will share a tent with another student. If you need a private tent there is an additional 375 euro fee.
A “double room” at Irocha can be booked by two friends or a couple. The room can be set up with one large bed or two singles.
If you’re traveling alone and would like to save money by sharing a room with another yogi of the same gender please contact us.
We’ll try to connect you with someone, but if we’re unable and you have a single room there will be a surcharge.
To confirm your booking we ask for a non-refundable 395 deposit. The remaining balance is due on arrival and should be paid in cash if possible.
Cancelation Policy
- If you cancel before February 28, 2026 you forfeit the 395 deposit.
- If you cancel after February 28, 2026 you are responsible to pay the remaining balance due for your booking.
- You can transfer your booking to another person at anytime for no fee.
- Space is very limited at this retreat. If you cancel 3 or 4 weeks before the event it is highly unlikely we can refill your space. This is why the deposit is non-refundable and we require you to pay the full amount for last minute cancellations.
Getting to Irocha...
We will meet on March 30 in front of the post office in the main Jemaa El Fnaa square in the heart of Marrakech at 11:30 AM. A minibus will pick us up and take us south over the Atlas mountains to our first destination, Irocha. It’s about a three hour journey. Please have local currency to pay for this transport.
If you’re arriving separately plan to be at Irocha by 4pm on the 30th. We will have an opening gathering at 5:30 pm. If you need a taxi pick-up at the airport let us know. It’s around 85 euros for a taxi from the Marrakech airport (RAK) to Irocha.
Join us May 11 to 18, 2024 for a special Ashtanga yoga experience in the Atlas mountains. Our venue is Irocha, located on the southern slope of the Atlas range where the canyons widen and spread towards the Sahara desert. Irocha, which means “rock” in the local Amazigh language, is a beautiful venue constructed in the traditional Berber style.
Magnificent mountain views, fresh air, starry nights and plenty of space makes this the perfect place to rest and recharge.
This event is limited to 12 students so sign up early.
Details & Schedule:
This is your week to rest and recharge. We will not take attendance and if you choose to miss something so you can chill by the pool or nap we totally get it. We’re there to support you in any way we can.
Price per person (Euros):
- Large single room: 1350.
- Standard single room: 1050.
- Shared Double room: 750.
All bedrooms have an en suite private bathroom. These prices include the classes, workshops, brunch, dinner, Wifi and full use of the venue. We rented the entire hotel so you can make yourself at home.
Double rooms can be shared by friends or a couple. If you’re coming alone and would like to share a room we will try to match you up with another student of the same gender. If you have the room by yourself, however, we will need to charge you the single room rate.
We ask for a 250 Euro deposit to confirm your booking. The balance is due on arrival and needs to be paid with cash.
Cancelation policy:
If you cancel before April 11th we can refund you the deposit minus a 75 euro admin fee.
If you cancel after April 11th your deposit is not refundable PLUS you are 100% responsible and required to pay the full remaining balance that is due.
You can, however, transfer your place to another person. No matter what the full amount is due for any cancelations after April 11.
